Do you believe Americans would let Bigotry reine?

A better question is why Americans would allow Bigotry to keep this country on the same one-way railroad track to hell. Given the ability of South Africa to over come Apartheid what does the recent yahoo poll on bigotry in the election say about America to the rest of the world.
