Go to Canadian tire and buy these things you plug into the wall, it emits some type of noise or something that rats and mice don`t like, only they can sense it though, its not like a noise people can hear, other than that set traps, what works well instead of the regular mice traps is the ones where once they step on it they get stuck to this glue and die, also if you don`t mind cats buy a cat that will take care of the problem.
