It could have been what they call a "chemical pregnancy" where fertilization takes place, but something goes wrong in implantation phase. You're body may have been producing the pregnancy hormones for a brief time which would explain the positive test early on. Most of the time, women aren't even aware that they've had a chemical pregnancy because your period will arrive on time or just a few days late. Hope that helps. Good luck!!
